WHY YOGA ?

The short answer would be why not. Just try it, and see where the practice takes you. The long answer, is to change. That means change of habit, change of conditioning, change of attitude towards life and other people.  Most important is the change in how you see and treat yourself.

This change is very subtle and takes time, commitment and perseverance. The journey is extremely rewarding and worth every step. This journey will  teach you patience, humanity, love for yourself and non-judgement. Being with like-minded people, you are part of a supportive community and will develop a sense of clarity, freedom, and connection to yourself and others. Focus on the present moment and feel better in your own body.

THE MAGIC OF MYSORE

Astanga is traditionally taught as Mysore-style guided self practice.  We practice early in the morning while the mind is clear and undisturbed.

It is the perfect way to kickstart your day.

Practice happens in a quiet room where every student practices at their own pace and according to their own ability. A teacher is there to guide, support and give adjustments if needed. Adjustments are available for all regardless of ability and experience.  This empowers every student to develop a practice for life.

Mysore practice is much more than the physical, we go deeper into the emotional and subtle body, The magic of Mysore means that everyone can reach this state of bliss and love. Just dive in and trust the process.

THE BENEFITS OF YOGA

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced yoga student, my classes offer a safe and supportive space in which you can deepen your practice. All classes are dynamic with focus on the rhythm of breath. Every movement follows either inhale or exhale. No need to worry about getting in to shapes perfectly, just trust your breath. Your breath will take you as deep as your body needs to go. Trusting  your practice is the key.

Many of us begin yoga to gain flexibility and strength in our bodies. We love going into different shapes. These asanas are essential to get physical benefits. But over time you’ll gain more rewards on a far deeper level. You will gain insights and perspectives about yourself and others to become more mentally resilient. Those benefits are what we should strive for.

PRIVATE CLASSES

In addition to group classes, I teach privately one-to-one. Whether you’re a beginner or established practitioner I can tailor these sessions to help you reach your full potential.

We can focus on asanas that you wish to develop or those that can be challenging in a group class. Private sessions are available at a time and location of your choosing.

YOGA RETREATS

I hold unique yoga retreats and holidays, in different European locations.

During the week we practice Astanga yoga in the mornings, and a dynamic playful class in early afternoon, that can be anything from conditioning, backbending to arm balancing and inversions. We close our days with a soft restorative practice.

There is always time to explore the surroundings,  spend time with other students or relax and read your book. Food is always local and vegetarian or vegan if required.
This year I’m taking you to beautiful Sicily 26th April-3rd May . Join us
